US Department of State has published the upcoming visa bulletin, which foreign nurses have been keeping an eye on, and the processing has improved tremendously. The cut-off date is at October 1, 2011 last time the bulletin was issued, and it has advanced 244 days or 8 months and a week this time.
Nurses are included in the EB-3 Category of processing: Skilled Workers, Professionals, and Other Workers: 28.6% of the worldwide level, plus any numbers not required by first and second preferences, not more than 10,000 of which to "*Other Workers".
