Charles Logan, a 68-year-old patient of St. John Hospital stormed the nurse station and swung the bar wildly towards the nurses. The hospital's closed circuit television caught the rampage and it immediately went viral online.
In the short clip, nurses tried to lock the door to prevent the attack but Logan forcefully barreled through it. He then hit one nurses on the back, and then repeatedly hit two more of them.
The police even had a hard time stopping him when he made it outside of the hospital. Watch the video as reported by CNN:
A total of 4 nurses were injured by the attack.
This is just one of the terrible cases of workplace assaults, 60% of which takes place in healthcare setting as revealed in the latest survey of International Healthcare Security and Safety Foundation.
